The teacher's day in India is celebrated every year on 5th September. This day is dedicated to Dr. Radhakrishnan, who was a great teacher, scholar and advocator of education in India. Dr. Sarvpalli Radhalkrishnan was also our first vice-president and second president. Since the ancient times, India has idolised its teachers and given them a great respect. In the good old times, the teacher was called 'guru' and was worshipped like God. Time has changed, but in India we still have that much respect for our teachers.
